Ehloom Devoilee, our first collection (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkJAl9AEU6Q) featured summer and winter designs that were shown on models and mannequins made by us (http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-make-your-own-mannequin). The scene was staged in the exclusive Valmont Club (www.thevalmontclub.com) for the night. A mixture of family, friends and club regulars attended the event, which was opened by Datura's lead singer, Molinard (http://www.datura-music.fr, also Eva’s brother). For us it was an amazing and challenging night. We felt it was the best way to collect feedback from the public, to see how people welcomed our designs and how they responded to Ehloom's own concept. Everything went well until the early hours of the morning, when unfortunately our excitement was cut short by Eva’s car being clamped. Very expensive way to end a night!! But well that’s London.
Our New Year was very interesting: one of us went home to Australia and the other one went to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf. As it happened we ended up going to the same dance festival, Sensation White. Dressed in our couture designs from the first collection, we welcomed the new year with great fun.
Joanne, one of our colleagues, needed a dress for a special event. After visiting our website she choose the Viper dress. It was very exciting to deliver our first order from the collection, we just did not think it would be the only one.

Pilar, a sensational salsa teacher and dancer (http://www.latin-fusion.com) organised a show for her students, which she needed dresses made for. She asked us to design 5 dresses that would match the pink panther theme of the show. With a few mistakes along the way, we finally managed to deliver our first big order on time for the event.

Rosa, one of our dance friends, asked us to design a dress for her shows. It was a very interesting concept. The dress was to be made from a silk scarf that featured a beaded embroidered peacock.

After a slow start to the year, we were asked to help design outfits for the semi finalists Dance Flavourz. 9 girls, 9 costumes, 9 colours, each of them composed of 3 outfits from Bollywood style, to Latin seduction, then end in a Brazilian extravaganza. The challenge was to make the 3 outfits work as 1 unique costume for each girl to seamlessly change into during the performance. The solution was to create 2 skirts that could be removed in a second.

Dressed in our designs inspired by the Britain’s got talent costumes, we decided to head down to Wimbledon fashion week. We experienced catwalk shows from emerging local designers, who were all very talented.
To represent all our new designs, we decided to revamp the website with a new look. This was to be a joint effort from our regular customers and friends. We hired a room at the Lighthouse Studio’s in Fulham (http://www.lightstudios.org) for the photo shoot. We only had a very small time to complete the work and the shoot did not go according to plan. Despite everything, we managed to get some great photos to produce the new look we wanted. The next step was to put it all together to create the new website www.ehloom.com

Erin, one of our friends, was organising her wedding in Hawaii. Only one of us could make it, but a dress would need to be made for that special occasion. Eva's boyfriend, Nicolas, always wanted to see her wearing a nice long corset dress similar to the one of the statue he brought back from Brazil. Wanting her to be elegant, sophisticated and sexy all in one. Eva completely approved the idea. The next challenge was to design a statement dress inspired from this idea that was on a reasonable budget. A few drawings later, the design and the materials were confirmed: the dress would be made from off cuts fabric in different shades of blue to represent the sea. After working every night and weekend for 2 weeks, totaling 20 hours, the dress was completed. Mission accomplished, it was definitely a statement dress.

Had us designing samples of corsets styled from Eva’s wedding dress. We currently have two in production and our next phase is to find some buyers for them.
